Personal development can get serious, especially when it comes to issues of wealth and money! So why not give your financial life some creative flow and enjoyment? A vision board, which is based on the laws of attraction and manifestation, is an effective tool for clarifying your objectives, keeping them front of mind, and expressing your wishes to the universe.
How might a vision board assist you in achieving your financial objectives?
A vision board is a collage of pictures, sayings, and other itemsโdigital or realโthat visually depict the objectives you are pursuing. Your vision board is always changing, much like your own journey of personal development.
Though they are frequently created at the start of the year, it’s okay to give them a seasonal update to make sure your vision is still relevant.
The brain is primed to seize chances that could have otherwise gone missed when it looks at pictures on a vision board. This is due to a mechanism in the brain known as “value-tagging,” which labels significant information in your subconscious and eliminates irrelevant information.
Using vision boards as action boards reaffirms that using this manifestation technique alone is not the only way to accomplish your objectives. As with other manifestation techniques, vision boards call for coordinated action.
Making concrete, visual reminders of your financial objectivesโas well as how you’re getting there and what it can signify for your futureโis tremendously beneficial. Your finished vision board serves as a helpful visual reminder, but the act of creating it also serves as a potent exercise in clarity.
Sorting through different photos and real items might help you get very clear about your objectives. What do they feel and look like? You’ll be able to identify that emotion more easily when it manifests in your reality if you can tune into it.
1. Make a list of things you are grateful for to approach life with abundance.
Vision boarding should be approached from a posture of vast abundance rather than limitation. For instance, you can still make an extensive vision board even if you must make financial cuts (for whatever reason).
Making gratitude lists might help you become more conscious of your blessings in the here and now. The more connections you draw between these pleasant experiences and reasons to be thankful for, the more you’ll feel the wonderful emotions that go along with them, which will heighten and deepen your sense of gratitude.
Because of our inherent negativity bias, we seek to shield ourselves from suffering by focusing on things that aren’t going our way (1). In the context of money, this can appear as scarcity and lack mentality. Practicing gratitude helps you be more positive in the present and in the future.
2. Understand what wealth means to you.
Not only is abundance an energy from without, but it’s also an inward condition of being, an extension of your value. It may appear different to every one of us. For instance, you can desire a job with more income, but what does it really mean to you? Perhaps it’s more flexibility in terms of travel or balance. In essence, then, plenty might signify “freedom” to you.
It’s also critical to define abundance for yourself independently of cultural norms and familial experiences. For instance, your family may have persuaded you that to be safe and happy, you need to accumulate cash, therefore you may feel the need to manifest more money. This is a set of subconsciously ingrained beliefs derived from your upbringing.
If you find yourself losing focus on the exterior aim, try asking yourself “why” three times or more to uncover the fundamental motivation behind your financial objective.

3. Visualize the root chakra.
The first of your seven primary energy centers is your root chakra. Known as your security center, it is located near the base of your spine and contains all the energies related to survival and safety, including money.
Visualize red light at the base of your tailbone as a quick and simple meditation technique to make sure your root chakra is open and clear. Imagine this red light expanding through your body, blazing clear and bright. Let the density in your body be washed away by this red light and let any limiting thoughts that are preventing you from moving forward be removed.
Take as much time as necessary, but make sure that, instead of hanging out in your higher energy centers, you are grounding all your energy to your root to bring yourself back to the present.
4. Choose pictures that accurately depict your financial objectives.
Be precise and unambiguous! Use the precise car you are manifestingโthe model, color, year, etc.โinstead of just a picture if you are accumulating money for a new vehicle. You have the amazing ability to look up anything you want on the internet, so don’t hesitate to delve into the specifics.
5. Give it credibility.
Make sure your financial objectives are reasonable. The reason much of our ambitions fail is that we choose ones that seem much too huge. Try to set attainable, attainable goals and rank them according to what you can influence. If purchasing a home seems out of reach, for instance, start with a realistic objective like upgrading your apartment or accumulating a specific amount of money. These will help you move closer to your desired outcome.
You won’t be able to, at least not right now if you don’t believe that you can accomplish and bring your dreams to pass. We’re not saying you can’t achieve these more ambitious financial objectives; we’re just acknowledging that it might take some time. To advance, start with the minor “stepping-stone” objectives.
6. Make it noticeable.
Think of your vision board as your partner in accountability. It’s designed to help you stay focused on your objectives and on course. Put it wherever you can see it frequently and readily in your house or place of business. You may prime your brain to recognize and seize the opportunities that will get you closer to your goals by exposing it to these images on a regular basis.
Consider setting it in a hallowed spot, such as your workplace, bedside, abundance corner (back left corner, facing your house from the front door), or altar.
7. Surrender the outcome to the best interests of those involved.
To be financially abundant and whole, you must create wealth that benefits you, others, and the environment. Just like with manifestation, your dreams won’t come true unless they serve the highest good of all parties concerned. Thus, it’s advisable to create your vision board and stay focused on your objectives, but don’t become overly attached to the results. If it’s not coming to you right now, have faith that something better is on its way!
Creating a vision board for your finances won’t make money appear out of thin air. To achieve your goals, though, you must be very clear about them and visualize them.
